The most significant thing I took away from this class is that learning is a lifelong process. The world is constantly changing at a rapid pace and I need to change along with it or be left behind. I need to embrace the challenges of learning new things if I expect students to embrace learning.
Yes, I would recommend this class to others. I learned so much in a short amount a time. I loved the fact that I was able to demonstrate the skills I was learning as I was being taught them. I was actively engaged in all the activities that were provided to me.
I will definitely be more thoughtful when planning lessons for students. I will provide them with more opportunities to be actively engaged during lessons so that they will be active participants in the learning process. I will also try to incorporate the use of electronic and technological devices as tools to enhance the concepts I am trying to teach them. I will try to give the students more choices so that they have more control over how they learn and are provided opportunities to demonstrate what they have learned in a way that has meaning for them and allows them to utilize their strengths.
I would love to learn more about using the smartboard so I could feel more comfortable using it the classroom. I would also like to learn how to set up a classroom website for students and parents.
